Terms of Service
The service
Walaa (mywalaa.com) lets businesses ("merchants") issue digital loyalty cards and gift cards to their customers, and gives them a dashboard and a staff scanner. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
Free trial and plans
New merchants get a free trial (normally 60 days). After that the service continues on a paid monthly plan as shown on our website. Prices are in Omani rials and may change with 30 days' notice.
Paying
We send invoices in your dashboard. Pay by bank transfer or cash by the due date. If an invoice is more than 7 days overdue, the scanner and new sign-ups pause until it is paid. Your customers' cards and balances are kept and come back when you pay.
Your responsibilities as a merchant
Keep your logins private and give each staff member their own login. Honour the rewards and gift card balances you offer; they are your promise to your customers, not Walaa's. Only collect customer data for your loyalty programme, tell customers about it, and follow Oman's Personal Data Protection Law and our Privacy Policy. Don't use Walaa for anything illegal or misleading.
Gift cards
Gift cards are sold by the merchant, and the money is paid to the merchant. The merchant is responsible for redeeming them, for any expiry rules, and for refunds.
Card holders
Cards are free for customers. Rewards and gift card balances are provided by the merchant. Questions about a reward should go to the merchant first.
Availability
We work to keep Walaa running at all times and back it up daily, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are run by Apple and Google, and their availability is outside our control.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Walaa is not liable for indirect losses or lost profits, and our total liability to a merchant is limited to the fees that merchant paid us in the previous 3 months.
Ending the service
You can stop at any time; you won't be charged for months you haven't started. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or stays unpaid. On request we will give you an export of your customer list.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman.
